MOSCOW, Jan 18 (UNI): Russia today accused Pakistan of adopting double standards by not nabbing the hijackers of the Indian Airlines flight IC-814 even though the law of the country has provision of death penalty for the air pirates.
Russia asked Pakistan to nab the hijackers who have found shelter on its territory after their recent misadventure, the Voice of Russia said.
"Why are Pak rulers adopting a double-faced policy, when on one hand they denounce terrorist acts and on the other hand maintain a sphinx-like silence on the hijacking issue." The hijackers had released the passengers on December 31 in exchange for three dreaded militants including two Pakistanis.
