KT NEWS SERVICE BHALESSA, Jun 7: Member of Legislative Assembly and former power minister Mohammad Sharief Niaz has urged the government to release salary in favour of the 450 consolidated employees of PHE department who are sitting on dharna at tehsil headquarters at Gandoh.
He said that the employees are demanding their due share and have submitted a charter of demands to the concerned authorities.
He appealed to the government to look into the problems of the employees.
Govt discriminating against Dogri KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jun 6: Members of Dogri Sanstha expressed concern over the step motherly treatment being meted to the Dogri language in Education department.
They criticized the attitude of the government for not providing adequate attention to the development and promotion of the Dogri language in the state.
They said that Dogri is the constitutionally recognized language but the government is not serious about the promotion of the language.
The Sanstha demanded introduction of subject of Dogri at school and college levels, recruitment of Dogri teachers and lecturers in all the sectors of education, amendment in the notification of PSC advertised posts of lecturers in Dogri subject.
The Sanstha threatened to launch agitation if the government failed to take necessary action and formulated concrete policy for the promotion of Dogri language.
