KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Feb 4: A small screen artist Haji Bashir Mansoor who was popular for his comic role in "Cherry Trutch" has passed away.
A resident of Alikadal, he had slipped down from a concrete slab and survived with multiple fractures.
He remained admitted in the hopsital for over two weeks and then breathed his last.
He was laid to rest and hundreds of people from social, cultural and theatre attended his funeral.
The particular serial was offering a comedian view of old age life and has become a rare hit in Kashmir, especialy in the countryside.
Drama Artists Welfare Association, Kashmir Theatre Association, Kashmir Cultural Society, Kashmir Kala Manch, Bhartiya Kala Manch, Kashmir Valley Theatre, Diyar-e-Fun, Pamposh Cultural Society and Samgam Threatre in a joint meeting has offered rich tributes to their departed colleague.
