VADODARA, Feb 17 (UNI): Two journalists of local television channels were allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in the Bhailal Park Society here where Best Bakery prime witness Zahira Sheikh had recently moved with in her family members.
On hearing the news that Zahira had found a new home in the Society, the two mediapersons rushed there yesterday with cameras but a group of local residents allegedly assaulted them and threw stones at them forcing them to flee.
The journalists alleged that they were attacked without any provocation.
All the local TV channels have stated that they have taken serious exception to the incident and decided to jointly lodge a complaint against the attack with Vadodara Police Commissioner S K Sinha today.
Zahira and her family members, who returned to Vadodara last November from Mumbai, have been changing their home in the city almost every month due to security problems.
The family has been provided protection of the commando force by the state Intelligence Bureau as per the direction of the Supreme Court.
