Inspector Matadin Chand Par is a story of a corrupt Police Inspector, namely Matadin who is adept in all hook- or- crook ways in his performing his duties and tampering with the rules.

The play is an oblique assault on the flawed functioning and working style of the police department, especially the extortion, exploitation and excesses.

He has been sent on deputation to Moon by Indian government on demand of Government of Moon for improving the state of police affairs effectively.

But follows his own ways at Moon too making the police system in Moon too corrupt akin to that in India.

He teaches the staff of his department various unscrupulous ways of accomplishing official duty, extortion manipulation and bribery.

He acts like a iconoclast and demagogue who sets things into wrong gear Ultimately in wake of worsened moral state the society of Moon upto an appalling level he is called back to home planet earth as urged upon by the people of Moon to Prime Minister of India .

The story of 'Baldev Khatik' revolves around the life events of Baldev Khatik a police constable who is victim of tyrannically indifferent attitude of his own department towards the human sufferings and of a poor man 'Rangto'.

The life of Rangto depicts of an underprivileged fellow who undergoes excess at the hand of despotic police for a crime of stealing flour for sake of feeding his family.
