Two temples burgled

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, July 12: Two more temples have been burgled in Janipur area last night.

Police reports said that the burglars entered the premises of two more temples in Housing Colony in Janipur area last night and they decamped with cash and jewelry after breaking the donation boxes.

The thefts took place in Shiv temple and Nageshwar temple Housing Colony Janipur.

Police has taken cognizance.

The spates in thefts at religious places in Janipur have created tension in the area.

Resentment brewed up among the local residents who criticized police for its failure to control the rise of thefts in the area.

Couple of days ago burglars struck in three temples in the same area and they decamped with cash and jewelry.

Police failed to achieve any breakthrough in all these cases.

A senior police officer said that half a dozen suspects were rounded up for questioning.
