NEW DELHI, Feb 17 (UNI) The Electon Commission today said polls in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in two or three phases owing to the security perceptions in the militancy hit state.
The three-member Commission had a detailed discussion on poll preparations with the state's top ranking bureaucrats and police officials today.
The EC's meeting with Jammu and Kashmir is last of the series with the states and the EC is expected to finally announce the poll dates this week-end.
