KT NEWS SERVICE RAJOURI, July 12: A civilian was injured after being allegedly tortured by men working with intelligence agencies in Palma area of Rajouri today.
The victim has been identified as Zakir Shah of Khandi (Palma).
Family members of the victim alleged that he was picked up by the army intelligence men from Khandi area of Palma in Rajouri and after torturing him they threw him in the forest area.
"The victim was blind-folded and taken away to an undisclosed location by the intelligence men where he was subjected to inhumane torture", the family members added.
The family members approached Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri Farooq Ahmed Khan who instructed SHO Rajouri Zakir Mirza to probe the case and register an FIR in this connection.
Man found dead KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, July 12: Police claimed to have recovered body of a man who died under mysterious circumstances at Kumit area of Ramban.
The deceased has been identified as Brij Lal, son of Bhag Chand of Kumit tehsil Ramban.
The body after autopsy was handed over to the family members for last rites.
Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPc.
