Youth Cong AAKS constituted

KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Jun 20: General secretary All India Youth Congress Sheikh Mastan Wali and president Pradesh Youth Congress Amin Bhat-MLC today constituted Youth Congress "Aam Aadmi Ka Sipahi" (AAKS) for Jammu and Kashmir.

The "Aam Aadmi Ka Sipahi" (AAKS) is the Rahul Gandhi's visionary programme.

In a joint press conference they disclosed that Pradesh Youth Congress would appoint two members who will work as AAKS in every Panchayat.

They would appraise the masses about the massive development in the state by the Congress led coalition government in the state as well as at the centre.

"The members will educaste the unemployed youth regarding the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) and would also take stock of the NREGS among the masses.

These members will be given proper trainings at district Panchayat level by professionals.

They also disclosed that these members would also highlight various schemes of the Centre and state government and enable people to derive maximum benefits from these schemes.

They said these members would be provided with a kit containing the achievements of the UPA, application modes, enquiry numbers, information regarding all the programmes and policies material from youth Congress registrer and would also maintained a detaild register with personal details, address and problem faced by individuals.

Ravi Singh Salathia, spokesperson PYC who was also present in the press conference said that the DYC executive at all district level would start the programme on June 25 alongwith BYC executive and the programme would commence on August 9, 2008 (Youth Congress Day).

There would be a control room for AAKS at the PYC level, which provide information to the PCC for proper co-operation at the grass root level.

Among others who were also present during the conference included Pawan Raina, Sanjay Sawhney, Manmohan Singh, Marouf Khan, Pankaj Chibber, Narinder Gupta, Manjit Singh Bedi.
