CHANDIGARH, Oct 8 (UNI): The Chandigarh Football Association will host Coca-Cola Mir Iqbal Hussain Football Tournament for boys (Chandigarh leg) from October 19 - 25 here.
CFA secretary Rakesh Bakshi said that players born on or after January 1, 1995 but not later than December 1997 are eligible to take part in the tournament.
Entry form along with a fee of Rs 150 can be deposited along with the list of 18 players duly verified by the principal of the school.
Participating players have to produce latest schools identify card, original date of birth certificates issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths or by the Health Department at the time of every match.
The CFA has sent invitation to all schools of Chandigarh and more than 15 schools have already confirmed their participation.
The CFA secretary said that probables would be selected during the meet.
The selected players will attend a 10-day coaching camp at the DAV Senior Secondary School ground in Sector 8 under the supervision of Sports Authority of India coach Narinder Thapa.
During the camp, a state team would be selected which will participate in the Coca Cola Sub-Junior National Mir Iqbal Hussain Football Tournament at Gurgaon from November 15 to 23.
