KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, July 13: J&K boys defeated Goa, while girls team hold hosts Haryana goalless in their opening match by 4-0 in the Roll Ball National (U-17) commenced at Panchkulla in Haryana from today.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by DGP Haryana Dalal.
The director Sports Haryana Surinder Mohan was the guest of honour on the occasion.
In the inaugural tie J&K boys trounced Goa by 4-0.
Aditya Mahajan scored two goals, while Tarandeev Singh and Aditya Sharma converted one goal each.
In the girls section, J&K hold Haryana goalless.
In mix section, J&K have registered facile 2-0 goal victory over Uttar Pradesh.
Tarandeev Singh and Aditya Mahajan pumped one goal each.
Prior to participation in this nationals, J&K teams have successfully participated in the fifteen days coaching camp of Under-17 years age group organised by the Roll Ball Association of Jammu & Kashmir.
