NEW DELHI, Feb 18 (UNI) Even if LK Advani is the deputy prime minister of the country, he is still the 'deputy home minister' at home.
This was stated by Advani himself at a function at his residence organised to mark the Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati Bodh Utsav.
"When the prime minister told me that you will my deputy prime minister, I said I may be your deputy, but I will always be the deputy home minister at home," he said amid laughter.
He said his greatest strengths in life had been his family and his organisation and the 'sanskars' that he had imbibed from the organisation.
"These are the two things that have helped me achieve what I have achieved today," he said.
The function coincided with his son Jayant's birthday, which was celebrated in traditional style with Vedic chants.
The function was attended by Advani's family members besides many Arya Samajis.
