Dalmiya told Reuters today he had accepted an invitation to travel to Malaysia for talks with ICC officials.

"The meeting is now unlikely to take place, the spokesman said.

"Its expected the situation will be resolved today.

He said telephone conversations were continuing today between Dalmiya in Calcutta, ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed in London and ICC president Malcolm Gray in Sydney.

Yesterday the ICC extended until tomorrow its todays deadline for the Indian authorities to announce whether or not Sehwag would play in the first test against England starting in Mohali on Monday.

Sehwag was given a one-match ban in the second test in South Africa and the ICC has ruled him ineligible for Mondays test against England.

New Zealand made two changes for the deciding test, dropping opening batsman Matthew Bell for debutant Lou Vincent and replacing injured seamer Daryl Tuffey with Chris Martin.

World champions Australia have named the same 11 for all three tests.

Fleming won the toss and bowled in the first two tests as Australia scored 486 for nine declared and 558 for eight declared.
