KT NEWS SERVICE UDHAMPUR, Aug 17: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Mangat Ram Sharma today inaugurated an awareness camp organized by J&K Khadi & Village Board (KVIB) at Mansar.
He was accompanied by Secretary, KVIB R.C Sharma, Director Health Services Dr Jasbir Singh, Ex MLA Shiv Dev Singh.
The programme was also attended by large number of people from the adjoining villages besides prominent citizens and bankers.
On the occasion, participants were informed about various schemes which have been promoting self employment in the rural regions.
The objectives of these schemes is to generate more employment in rural sector to encourage the youth to set up industrial unit and achieve the overall objective of rural industrialization.
Sharma while addressing the gathering said that KVIB has been paying special attention to the backward, hill, border and tribal areas.
Various programmes have been organized to reach the target groups in the under privileged rural masses.
The only need is to transfer national resources from affluent sections of society to destitute and poverty stricken rural artisans and ensure that they have access to atleast minimum education programmes and schemes will be more effective if we change our mindset and focus our attention to the poorest of poor.
