KT NEWS SERVICE UDHAMPUR, Dec 15: A deputation of Water Works (PHE) Employees Association today called on Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Dillewar Mir and apprised him about their long pending demands including raise of salaries equivalent to the PHE employees in Kashmir Valley from Rs 500 per month to Rs 2100 per month.
As per a press release, the deputation was led by the district president Som Nath, who submitted a memorandum to the minister.
The memorandum included the demands for the benefit of essential service and release of pending one-and-a-half-day salary.
Som Nath demanded the change of designation as the work preformed by the helpers as assistant motor man and alleged that these posts have not been covered under SRO 43, implementation of SRO 149.
