KT NEWS SERVICE RAJOURI, Aug 22: P.H.E Workers Welfare Association district Rajouri demanded enhancement in the wages of PHE workers so as to bring them at par with Kashmir PHE employees.
This demand was raised in a meeting which was presided over by Baji Altaf Hussain Shah.
Other demands of the Association included change of designation according to their jobs, transfer of over stayed and ministerial staff, utilization of funds allotted for flood damaged schemes and repair of old pipes which are supplying dirty water due to leakage.
Among others who participated in the meeting included Balbir Singh, Manzoor Ahmed, Mohammed Sharief, Iftikhar Malik, Subhash Chander and Ashok Kumar.
The Association has also decided to hold one day protest demonstration on Aug 27.
