KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, JAN 12 -The employees of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized a programme to honour Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Dr Rafeeq Masoodi for the prestigious "Bharat Gourav Award" conferred on him by the Global Friendship Society, an NRI organization in a function held at New Delhi.
This award was given for his meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role and in recognition of valuable contribution in promoting the honour and prestige of India.
While honouring Dr Masoodi shawl and bouquets were presented by Mr T R Sharma, Smt Shamima Akhtar, Haroon Rashid, Ghulam Nabi Bhat on behalf of the employees of the Cultural Academy.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Masoodi thanked the staff of the Cultural Academy and said that the real recipient of this honour are colleagues and all employees of the JKAACL because it has been possible due to their determination, dedication and wholehearted support which helped him to do a commendable job to promote art, culture and languages in and outside the state and country.
Earlier, while congratulating Dr Masoodi, Mr T R Sharma, Special Secretary JKAACL said that under the leadership of Dr Masoodi as Secretary, the Academy has been able to excel in all fields of art and culture at the national and international level hoping that endeavor of the Cultural Academy will continue with more vigor and dedication to further boost and spread art and culture of J&K state in other parts of the country and abroad as well.
