KAS probationers demand removal of pay scale anomalies KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, July 23: The probationers of the 2008 batch of Junior KAS and Other Departmental Gazetted Services have expressed concern over the discrepancies and anomalies in their pay-scale and grades vis-a-vis Assistant Engineers (AE), doctors, 10+2 lecturers, Section Officers (SO) and senior scale stenographers.

In a press release, the probationers maintained that they are placed in the pay scale of Rs 7500-12000, which is at striking odds with AEs and 10+2 lecturers who are placed in the higher grade of 8000-13500.

This anomaly is “highly discriminatory and biased, they added.

They also resented that those officers, who are just one rank below these probationers, have a marginal difference with them in terms of pay scale and grade, i.e.

Rs 7450-12000, which is detrimental to their motivation and morale in the long run.

The press release also stated that the probationers had already written to the higher echelons of the state administration.

They are hopeful that those at the helm of affairs would give a serious consideration to the matter and urged them to understand the gravity of the situation.
